See What The Professionals Have to Say About Reglazing
Getting an estimate
Text us or email us a few pictures and/or a short video of the area to be reglazed. Include your name, your email address, the job address, an approximate date when you would like the job to be done and we will email you an estimate within a few hours. Pictures and videos can be sent to phone number 978-853-1078. Let us know if you would like a non-slip on your estimate. Once you approve our estimate, we can schedule your job for any day between Monday and Saturday.
Non-slip
A non-slip is a built-in anti-slip surface which is an optional addition that replaces the need for a regular mat. A mat should never be placed on a reglazed tub, as a mat will damage the reglazing. Mat damages cannot be repaired. Once a mat damage a bathtub, the entire tub needs to be redone, at a previously reglazed price.
Mat damages can be avoided by sharing the care sheet with everyone living in the dwelling. We encourage landlords and property managers to make the care sheet part of their lease and to hold tenants accountable for any damages to the finish.
Prior to your reglazing appointment
Preparation should include the following:
· No leaking fixtures
· Running water
· Electricity
· Working heat
· Temperature at 70º in the room 24 prior to the appointment and 48 hours after job completion.
If your bathtub has a glass door installed, please take it off prior to our arrival. Please remove all personal belongings from the bathroom, including the shower curtain and curtain rod if possible and deemed necessary. If we are reglazing your counter tops or kitchen tiles, please remove all appliances away from the walls prior to our arrival.
To avoid exposure to fumes, it would be best to leave the unit when chemicals are applied and at spraying time.
If your bathtub is on a first floor directly above an unheated basement, it is recommended to have your tub reglazed during the hotter months of the year. This is because glazing and cold weather do not work well together. Glazing does not cure in cold temperature.
Parking
The customer is responsible for providing parking for the technician. In the event the technician needs to park at a garage, there will be a parking surcharge added to the total invoice.
Caring for your newly reglazed tub & tiles
Once the reglazing is completed, care instructions are emailed to the customer within the first 24 hours. It is extremely important to read and share the care instructions with anyone who has access to the property to prevent damages and repairing fees.
Repair fees
Care instructions are provided to help the customer get the most of their reglazing investment and avoid repair fees. Repairs are costly to both, the customer and our company. The minimum fee for a repair is $250. Repair costs can be avoided by reading, following and sharing the care instructions with anyone who has access to the unit. The two most common repairs performed by us at Reglazing World are scratches, mostly caused by other workers working in the unit after the reglazing is done, and bathtub mat damages. Never put a mat in a reglazed bathtub.
Shower head removal
Occasionally, the job at hand requires the shower head to be removed. Depending on the job, and to prevent damages to the finish, we may not be able to re-install the shower head before leaving the job site.
In this case, we ask our customers to wait a minimum of forty-eight hours and then very carefully put the shower head back. Before re-installing the shower head, it is recommended to place a thick blanket on the tub to prevent damages to the finish should any heavy items be dropped on the tub in the process.
Preventing dripping
Normally, we place a rubber glove around the shower head and the faucet to prevent any possible water dripping from damaging the new glaze. These gloves can be removed by the customer when you’re ready to use your bathtub again.
Sales & discounts
We offer sales on a weekly basis. Sales and discounts will be applicable to the indicated date on the sale. Discounts and sales prices will not be honored beyond the sale time frame. Jobs using a promotional discount must be completed within the promotional period in order to qualify for the discount.
Payment options
The day before the job is to be completed, an invoice is emailed out to the customer with payment instructions. We accept two forms of payments- mailed checks and Venmo. Venmo is free, quick, and hassle-free.
Property Managers
A significant number of jobs completed come through property managers who are also real estate agents. Real estate agents managing properties for absent owners are responsible for payment. Payments are due and expected at the time the job is completed.
Late payment fees
There will a late monthly fee surcharge of $35 for late payments after 30 days.
Other fees
Nominal fees may apply if there’s a need for repairs. A fee may apply if the bathtub/tile has multiple layers of reglaze/paint on it. If we are unable to do the job due to no fault of our own there will be a $90 fee per occurrence. There'll be a $100 cancellation fee for less than 24 hours notice prior to the appointment.
